Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

What are the benefits of therapy?

Therapy provides a supportive space to explore your values, increase self-compassion, and develop meaningful, lasting change. It focuses on more than just relieving symptoms and aims to help you build a life that feels fulfilling.

How much does therapy cost?

My session fee of $180 for 60 minutes reflects the depth of my clinical expertise, ongoing training, and highly individualized attention each client receives.

Many of my clients view therapy not as a quick fix, but as an investment in their long-term well-being, relationships, and self-understanding.

Fees are discussed transparently during the consultation call. Please inquire about sliding scale rates if you feel you may qualify.

How do we know we are the right fit for each other?

Therapeutic fit is essential. I offer a complimentary 15-minute consultation so we can both determine whether my approach aligns with what you’re seeking. This is an opportunity to discuss your goals, ask questions, and get a sense of my style.

My clients tend to be thoughtful, intelligent, growth-oriented individuals (often professionals, creatives, or caregivers) who are ready to engage in meaningful self-exploration and create sustainable change.

What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t help?

That’s completely valid, and much more common than people think. Therapy is not one-size-fits-all. If previous experiences felt surface-level or disconnected, our work will focus on rebuilding trust in the process.

My approach is collaborative and experiential, helping you understand why certain patterns persist and how to shift them. Many clients who felt “stuck” elsewhere find renewed clarity and progress here.

Do you work with teens?

Yes. I work with teens and adults (ages 13+) who are ready to engage in therapy that promotes self-understanding, resilience, and authenticity.

For teens, I create a balance of structure and openness to help them build emotional awareness, coping skills, and self-trust in a supportive environment.

Teens must have consent from their parents or guardians to participate in treatment. Potential clients who are younger than 16 years old are welcome in my practice under the condition that their parents or guardians agree to at least two family sessions during the course of treatment.

How often will we meet?

Many clients begin with weekly 60-minute sessions to establish trust and create meaningful momentum in the therapeutic process.

In my experience, this extended session length allows for a deeper, more focused exploration than the more traditional 45- or 50-minute session.

As therapy progresses, we may shift to biweekly or monthly sessions depending on your needs, goals, and the pace of your growth. I view you as the expert on your own experience, and we’ll collaborate to find a rhythm that feels both sustainable and effective.

How long is therapy?

Therapy is a highly individualized process. Some clients engage in brief, goal-oriented work lasting 8–16 sessions, while others choose to continue longer-term, exploring and discovering deeper layers of insight, integration, and personal growth.

Do you offer virtual sessions only?

Yes. My practice is 100% virtual, serving clients across the state of Texas. Virtual therapy offers flexibility, accessibility, and comfort—you can attend sessions from your own private space.

Sessions are conducted via a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform to protect your confidentiality.

What are your hours?

My business hours are Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. I will respond to all requests within 24 of my own business hours (e.g., if you leave me a voicemail on a Saturday night, I will respond by Wednesday).

Do you accept insurance?

At the moment I am only accepting new Aetna clients. If I do not accept your insurance, I can provide you with a superbill so you can submit claims to your insurance for reimbursement.
